Fed Signals Interest Rate Hike

Fed Signals Interest Rate Hike

In a previous blog article I discussed how rising interest rates will negatively affect your buying power.  Well, the Federal Reserve yesterday signaled for the first time that their will be an increase

Image titlein the Fed Rate and it could come as early as this summer!  The two biggest factors that will affect the Feds decision are inflation and job growth.  Inflation is tame right now thanks to the decrease in gas prices and the economy is just stumbling along at an anemic rate.  With those 2 indicators being low I don't see the increase coming during the Feds April meeting.

The bottom line however is still the same, rising interest rates will decrease your buying power during 2015.  If you're on the fence about whether to buy or not, now is a great time to do so.  Yes, the market here in the Upstate continues to strengthen and once the May comes along there will be more buyers competing for the home that's just right for you!

Please take a look at my article that goes into more specifics of how Rising Interest Rates Will Erode Your Buying Power.

Please feel free to give me a call and we can discuss a strategy to get you in the right home at the right price sooner rather than later!
