Lake Conestee Nature Park, in southern Greenville county, is a gem of a place to visit. There are several unpaved and boardwalk trails, as well a a portion of the Swamp Rabbit Trail (more on that in a future blog). It is a beautiful place to walk and contemplate nature at any time of year. Every time I visit I marvel at the fact that this beautiful and wild place is only a few minutes from downtown Greenville.
As someone who communes with nature any chance I get, it is very exciting to me to see the extensions and improvements that have been made on the Heron Circle trail, so named because of the heron nests (and herons on them!) that can be viewed from the trail. Many feet of boardwalk have been added, making it a fascinating walk through the wetlands. Even better, the trail will eventually cross over Marrow Bone Creek to join the Swamp Rabbit Trail on the other side of the lake. Stay tuned for more updates!

"Working with Gene Donohue was fun and non-stressful. He came highly recommended and he was very flexible and knowledgeable. Gene guided us through the entire purchasing process from looking at the property to closing on the house as efficiently as possible. He provided his personal insights on issues and helped in the negotiations. His positive attitude and patience with us was something I really appreciated as well. I felt like he went the extra mile for me and would definitely refer Gene to anyone. Thanks Gene. "
