The seventh annual Shalomfest was held on Sunday, April 12, at Temple Israel in Greenville, SC. It is a free festival of Jewish culture, with food, music, dance, bounce houses and face-painting for the kids, lectures, and more. You definitely do NOT have to be Jewish to enjoy it; many people come just for the delicious food! It is just one of the many cultural festivals that are held each year in Greenville, SC.
I am defiintely NOT the next Julia Child, or the Barefoot Contessa, but I was asked to do a cooking demo- it was the first-time I had done anything like that but it was a lot of fun. Hopefully I will be a bit more polished next time.
